TOP STORIES | Students from the College of Accountancy (COA) ascertained the excellent footing of the department after winning top places in the various competitions espoused by the National Federation of Junior Philippine Institute of Accountants Region Five (NFJPIA-V) Council, during the Annual Regional Academic League held on March 1-2, 2021 via Google Meet.

Pauline Mae Dimanarig, Carl Angelo B. Gonzales, and Honeylet Infeliz landed in the 3rd, 4th, and 5th spots in the Academic Cup 1, while Catherine May P. Dela Vega, Bryan James B. Abarera, and Michaela Negrete placed 2nd, 3rd, and 5th places in the Academic Cup 3.

Vanessa Bulalacao won the 5th spot in the Academic Cup 4, while Bryan James Abarera, Pauline Mae Dimanarig, Catherine May P. Dela Vega, and Hannah Louise Belza grabbed the 1st to 4th places in Cup 5. Meanwhile, during the Academic Cup 6, 3rd to 5th spots were notched by Michaela Negrete, Jose Maria Nuñez, and Nesrene Bagacina

The highly anticipated event for accountancy students was participated this year by 4(four) Higher Education Institutions namely, the Naga College Foundation, Catanduanes State University, Camarines Norte State College, and University of Saint Anthony.

The two-day online event centered on seven academic cups flowing in a range of accounting concepts such as Financial Accounting & Reporting (FAR) -Cup 1, Advanced Financial Accounting & Reporting (AFAR)-Cup 2, Management Advisory Services (MAS) - Cup 3, Regulatory Framework for Business Transactions (RFBT) -Cup 4, Auditing Theory and Problems -Cup 5, Taxation -Cup 6, and FAR, AFAR, MAS, Taxation for Cup 7.

The Regional Academic League for accountancy students is an undertaking of NFJPIA-V that aims to showcase the knowledge and abilities of the participants in various problem solving areas that form part of the licensure examination for Certified Public Accountants.
