USANT Conducts Online Tech Training for SNES Teachers
Top Stories | University of Saint Anthony gives a free online training and retooling on various digital learning platforms to the teachers of Sto. Niño Elementary School (SNES) on March 19, 2021 via Zoom, through the collaborative efforts of the College of Teacher Education (CTE), Graduate Studies and Research (GSR), and Community Extension Services (CES) Office.
Tech-savvy instructors from CTE served as resource persons who shared their expertise on three of the most commonly used platforms in online distance learning. Mr. Bob Vincent T. Gonzales discussed the features of Zoom as a video conferencing platform and a tool in recording video lessons, while Mr. Arnel A. Turiano demonstrated how Nearpod can be used in preparing interactive lesson, and Mr. Arlou G. Sacay explained how Google Forms can be utilized in making online assessments.
In addition, a Teacher’s Tech Manual will also be donated as a guide for the teachers in maximizing the use of online resources and platforms. In her message, Mrs. Ellen B. Tabarangao, the principal of Sto. Niño Elementary School, thanked USANT for sponsoring the online training which coincided with their In-Service Training (INSET) this year.
Same outreach service will also be rendered to the teachers of Sto. Niño National High School (SNHS) on March 25, 2021. The activity was made possible through the initiative of Mr. Gonzales, the Extension Services Coordinator of CTE, with the unwavering support of Dr. Arlene O. Monsalve and Dr. Domingo R. Ortega Jr., deans of CTE and GSR, and Mrs. Evelyn SJ. De Villa, CES Director.
