The College of Teacher Education (CTE) has proven anew its caliber as a leading institution in Teacher Education after bagging major awards in the recently concluded Bicol Regional Student Teachers’ Congress held on March 26, 2021, via Microsoft Teams.

Sheryl Grace B. Pascual topped the Search for Ten Outstanding Student Teachers – Secondary Category, while Kayce Abigail V. Basagre emerged as one of the finalists in the Elementary Category. Moreover, Arlou G. Sacay landed Third Place in the Research Competition after a series of paper review and oral presentations.

This year’s congress centered on the theme “Weaving Social-Emotional Learning Skills into the New Normal Classroom.” Dr. Lucille Dote-Evangelista, Director of Student Affairs and Services of Batangas State University graced the event as the Keynote Speaker. Dr. Milagros L. Borabo, PAFTE Vice President for Luzon delivered a talk about “Promoting Social-Emotional Learning through Student Engagement in Online Teaching and Learning.” The third year and fourth year Education students of USANT participated in the said congress.

USANT CTE has been consistently reaping remarkable feat in the competitions sponsored by the Philippine Association for Teachers and Educators (PAFTE), Inc. – Bicol Chapter.
